Developed and produced in the USA, the Detail Passion team has brought out the hottest tool for car detailing. The new Hybrid Wool Pad, marketed under the bold name "Angry Red Lake Pad", features an extreme cut while delivering a high-gloss finish. The construction includes a powerful Velcro interface, a heat-resistant and cooling prepolymer foam interface, followed by a blend of 100% lambswool and infused nano-polyester foam. This heat-resistant high-performance polishing pad can be used with rotary, dual-action, and forced rotation polishers. Unmatched Performance for Professional Polishing of Modern Car Paints The blue foam interface is approximately 9mm high, with the Hybrid Wool layer at around 6mm, resulting in a total height of 15mm. The foams and adhesives used are solvent-resistant. Additionally, the polishing pad exhibits maximum durability and toughness, making it perfect for high-performance polishers like Flex, Rupes, or ShineMate. From Quick One Step to Orange Peel Removal: The Purple Hybrid Wool Pad Typical applications of the Hybrid Wool "Angry Red Lake Pad" range from very quick cutting and removing significant paint defects to one-step polishing and orange peel removal. The polishing pad is ideal for use with free-spinning dual-action polishers such as the Rupes LHR15 Mark Series, Flex XFE Series, or forced rotation machines like Flex XCE or Rupes LK900 Mille. When used with rotary polishers, material removal is enhanced, allowing for effective orange peel removal. The stable Hybrid Wool construction ensures no energy is lost through fluttering fibers when using the dual-action polisher. The pad is compatible with all major polishes from brands like Sonax, Meguiars, Koch Chemie, 3D, and Effectum. Available for 75mm and 125mm Backing Plates Detail Passion has the DP Pro Polishing Pad manufactured by a US manufacturer under strict guidelines and quality control. This US manufacturer holds a patent on the blend and the manufacturing process of lambswool and infused foam. The polishing pad is initially made for 75mm and 125mm backing plates. The 125mm version has a center hole that makes placement easier and provides better cooling. Polishing pad for maximum material removal and high-gloss finish Unmatched quick polishing of car paints High-efficiency paint defect correction, one step to orange peel removal Perfect for Rupes, Flex, and ShineMate polishers Suitable for free-spinning dual-action, forced rotation, and rotary polishers Designed for extreme durability Resistant to solvents and heat Tear-resistant and shape-retaining For 75mm and 125mm backing plates Fiber height approx. 6mm, foam interface pad approx. 9mm, total height approx. 15mm Availability and Additional Information The "Angry Red Lake Pad" is expected to arrive between late February and March 2022. You may use the notification feature for updates. We cannot confirm or deny whether the Hybrid Wool is identical to similarly designed pads. A demonstration video will be published in January.
With the DP Pro Therminator polishing pads, the German manufacturer Detail Passion takes on the hype of thermally stable or heat-resistant polishing pads while also incorporating its own ideas. The advantages of thermally stable polishing pads are clear. Continuous controllable paint and clear coat removal during the polishing process is ensured, as the foam does not lose its compression hardness due to heat exposure. This allows for maintaining pressure even at higher RPMs, thus preventing any drop in cutting performance. The cell structure is also preserved, resulting in optimal cooling and minimized compression. Based on experience with extremely fast heavy cut polishes such as 3D Car Care 510 and the versatile 3D One Hybrid, Detail Passion has realized special additional properties in the polishing foam. DP Pro Therminator white - Super Heavy Cut for severe paint defects DP Pro Therminator orange - Medium Cut for One Step, All in One, or medium strength polishes DP Pro Therminator maroon - Medium Polish for intermediate polishes and finishing DP Pro Therminator black - Gloss finish for delicate paints or extreme gloss Super Heavy Cut to Finish: DP Pro Therminator Polishing Pads for Rotary and Random Orbital Use Unlike other polishing pads made from thermally stable foam, the composition of the DP Pro Therminators places special emphasis on cell structure and polish distribution. Despite the advantages of conventional thermopads, uneven or no distribution of polish can occur during application or distribution due to the cell structure. Especially with medium hard pads, this can quickly lead to undesirable dry polishing. DP Pro Therminators are optimized for large orbitals such as the Rupes LHR15, ShineMate EX620, Makita POC, and Flex XFE, producing either impressively fast material removal or a high-gloss finish, depending on the choice. DP Pro Therminator polishing pads can optionally be complemented with Heavy Cut polishing pads made from hybrid wool or microfiber or used solely as a complete solution.
The DP Pro Therminator polishing pads by Detail Passion embrace the hype around thermally stable or thermoresistant pads while introducing unique features. While conventional thermopads have their advantages, an uneven or lack of polish distribution can happen during initial application or distribution, especially with medium-hard pads, potentially leading to unwanted dry polishing. DP Pro Therminators are optimized for large orbitals like the Rupes LHR15, ShineMate EX620, Makita POC, and Flex XFE, delivering impressive cut rates or a high-gloss finish based on your choice. DP Pro Therminator polishing pads can either be used in conjunction with Heavy Cut pads made of Hybrid Wool or Microfiber or serve as a complete solution on their own.
