The new Intermediate polishing pads from Detail Passion are based on the renowned technology of thermally stable or heat-resistant foam. They are designed for one-step polishing jobs and for correcting paint defects on softer clear coats, such as those from Tesla, Harley Davidson, Dodge, or Asian manufacturers. The blue thermo pads feature an exceptionally fine open-cell foam structure and achieve an unprecedented balance between fast material removal and excellent finish.

It is challenging to categorize the blue Intermediate foam precisely within the existing foam types. In many cases, the Intermediate polishing pad provides the cut of the orange foam and the finish of the very soft black foam. Tests have shown that the Intermediate Therminator pads deliver perfect results even for preparing PPF paint protection films.

With the DP Pro Therminator polishing pad, the German manufacturer Detail Passion embraces the trend of so-called thermally stable or heat-resistant polishing pads, while also implementing its own ideas. The advantages of thermally stable polishing pads are clear. Consistent control of paint and clear coat removal during the polishing process is ensured, as the foam does not lose its compression hardness due to heat exposure. This means that even at higher rotation speeds, the pressure can be maintained, preventing a drop in cutting performance. Simultaneously, the cell structure is preserved, leading to optimal cooling and minimizing compression. Based on the experience with extremely fast heavy cut polishes like the 3D Car Care 510 and the universal 3D One Hybrid, Detail Passion has implemented further exceptional properties in the polishing foam.

Despite the advantages of conventional thermo pads, uneven or no distribution of the polish can occur during the initial application or spread due to the cell structure. Especially with medium-hard pads, this can quickly lead to unwanted dry polishing. DP Pro Therminators are optimized for large orbitals like the Rupes LHR15, ShineMate EX620, Makikato POC, Flex XFE and can achieve impressively fast material removal or a high-gloss finish depending on the choice. DP Pro Therminator polishing pads can be optionally complemented with heavy cut polishing pads made from hybrid wool or microfiber or used alone as a complete solution.
