The new Intermediate polishing pads from Detail Passion are based on the well-known technology of thermally stable or thermoresistant foam. They are designed for One Step polishing and correcting paint defects on softer clear coats such as Tesla, Harley Davidson, Dodge, or Asian manufacturers. The blue thermal pads feature an exceptionally fine Open Cell foam structure and impress with an unprecedented balance between fast material removal and excellent finish.

Accurately classifying the blue Intermediate foam in the existing foam list is challenging. In many cases, the Intermediate polishing pad delivers the cut of the orange foam and the finish of the very soft black foam. Tests have shown that the Intermediate Therminator polishing pads can also achieve perfect results when preparing PPF paint protection films.

With the DP Pro Therminator polishing pad, the German manufacturer Detail Passion taps into the hype surrounding thermally stable or thermoresistant polishing pads while also realizing its own ideas. The advantages of thermally stable polishing pads are clear. Consistent control of paint or clear coat removal during the polishing process is ensured, as the foam does not lose its compression hardness due to heat. This means that even at higher RPMs, pressure can be maintained, preventing a drop in cutting performance. Additionally, the cell structure is preserved, leading to optimal cooling and minimizing compression. Based on experience with extremely fast heavy cut polishes like 3D Car Care 510 and the versatile 3D One Hybrid, Detail Passion has incorporated unique additional properties into the polishing foam.

Unlike other polishing pads made from thermally stable foam, special emphasis was placed on the cell structure and distribution of the polish in the composition of the DP Pro Therminators. Despite the advantages of conventional thermal pads, the cell structure can lead to uneven or even no polish distribution during startup or spreading. Especially with medium-hard pads, this can quickly lead to undesirable dry running. DP Pro Therminators are optimized for large stroke eccentric machines such as the Rupes LHR15, ShineMate EX620, Makita POC, and Flex XFE, producing impressively fast material removal or a high-gloss finish, depending on the choice. DP Pro Therminator polishing pads can be complemented with Heavy Cut polishing pads made from Hybrid Wool or Microfiber or used alone as a complete solution.
