The new Intermediate polishing pads from Detail Passion are based on the renowned technology of thermally stable or thermoresistant foam. They are designed for polishing work in one-step and for correcting paint defects on softer clear coats such as Tesla, Harley Davidson, Dodge, or Asian manufacturers. The blue Thermopads feature an extremely fine open-cell foam structure and impress with an unprecedented balance between fast material removal and an excellent finish.

Categorizing the blue Intermediate foam into the existing foam list is challenging. In many cases, the Intermediate polishing pad delivers the cut of the orange foam and the finish of the very soft black foam. Tests have shown that the Intermediate Therminator pads also achieve perfect results when preparing PPF paint protection films.

With the DP Pro Therminator polishing pad, the German manufacturer Detail Passion embraces the hype of so-called thermally stable or thermoresistant polishing pads, while also realizing their own innovative ideas. The benefits of thermally stable polishing pads are clear. A consistently controllable removal of paint or clear coat during the polishing process is ensured, as the foam does not lose its compression hardness due to heat exposure. This leads to the ability to maintain pressure even at higher RPMs, preventing a decrease in cutting performance. Additionally, the cell structure is preserved, which optimizes cooling and minimizes compression. Based on experience with extremely fast heavy cut polishes like the 3D Car Care 510 and the universal 3D One Hybrid, Detail Passion has also realized special additional properties in the polishing foam.

Unlike other polishing pads made of thermally stable foam, special emphasis was placed on the cell structure and distribution of polish in the composition of the DP Pro Therminators. Despite the advantages of conventional Thermopads, the cell structure can lead to uneven or even no distribution of polish during application or spreading. Especially with medium-hard pads, this can quickly lead to unwanted dry running. DP Pro Therminators are optimized for long-throw polishers like the Rupes LHR15, ShineMate EX620, Makikato POC, Flex XFE and produce either impressively fast material removal or a high-gloss finish depending on choice. DP Pro Therminator polishing pads can be optionally complemented with heavy cut polishing pads made of hybrid wool or microfiber or used alone as a complete solution.
