The new Intermediate polishing pads from Detail Passion are based on the renowned technology of thermally stable or thermoresistant foam. They are designed for polishing tasks in a One Step process and for correcting paint defects on softer clear coats such as Tesla, Harley Davidson, Dodge, or Asian manufacturers. The blue thermopads feature an extremely fine open-cell foam structure and impress with an unprecedented balance between fast material removal and an excellent finish.

Categorizing the blue Intermediate foam in the list of existing foams is challenging. In many cases, the Intermediate polishing pad provides the cut of the orange foam and the finish of the very soft black foam. In tests, the Intermediate Therminator polishing pads also achieved perfect results when processing PPF paint protection films.

With the DP Pro Therminator polishing pad, the German manufacturer Detail Passion takes up the hype of thermally stable or thermoresistant polishing pads, while also realizing its own ideas. The advantages of thermally stable polishing pads are clear. Consistent control over paint or clear coat removal during the polishing process is ensured as the foam does not lose its compressive hardness due to heat. This allows for maintaining pressure even at higher RPMs, thus preventing a drop in cutting performance. Likewise, the cell structure is preserved, leading to optimal cooling and minimizing compression. Based on experiences with extremely fast heavy-cut polishes like the 3D Car Care 510 and the versatile 3D One Hybrid, Detail Passion has implemented special additional properties in the polishing foam.

Despite the advantages of conventional thermopads, the cell structure can lead to uneven or no distribution of polish during application or spreading. Especially with medium-hard pads, this can quickly lead to undesirable dry-running. DP Pro Therminators are optimized for large-throw orbitals like the Rupes LHR15, ShineMate EX620, Makikato POC, Flex XFE, and produce, depending on the choice, an impressively fast material removal or a high-gloss finish. DP Pro Therminator polishing pads can be optionally complemented with heavy-cut polishing pads made of hybrid wool or microfiber, or used alone as a complete solution.
