Both the microfiber and clay surface are very durable when used according to the instructions. Deep cleaning with THE MESH CLAY TOWEL should be done after a thorough wash with non-wax detergents. This deep clean is typically performed before polishing, sealing, or ceramic coating. Note: Deep cleaning may cause holograms or fine scratches on the paint that can be polished out by machine or hand. Thoroughly hand wash the vehicle using non-wax, non-sealing shampoos. We recommend starting with alkaline cleaners and iron removers followed by a pH-neutral or acidic hand wash. Rinse thoroughly with clean water. Application: If your water is hard, dry the vehicle first. Then use THE MESH CLAY TOWEL with clay lubricant sprays such as Optimum No Rinse, CarPro Ech2O, or P&S Paint Gloss. Work in sections no larger than 1 sqm. Spray lubricant onto the paint and cloth, then gently move THE MESH CLAY TOWEL’s dark clay side left to right over the paint with light pressure. As the contaminant is removed, the surface will feel noticeably smoother. Regularly check the towel for embedded dirt and rinse under warm water if needed. Alternative Use: THE MESH CLAY TOWEL can also be used directly with shampoo water. Ensure the shampoo water is clean. Regularly check and rinse the towel to avoid contamination. After Use: Rinse THE MESH CLAY TOWEL thoroughly and air dry with the clay side facing up. After drying, it can be stored back in its protective pouch.
