A stiff, intentionally heavier interface foam minimizes energy loss through deformation and transmits oscillation almost fully to the paintwork, delivering higher cut, stable self-rotation, and an even finish rather than subjective comfort.

Targeted damping happens only where it counts: the grey interface uses a special open-cell structure to reduce vibrations without compromising the crucial power transfer.
