The surface boasted noticeably high paint smoothness and pronounced hydrophobicity – even on already pre-sealed wraps. The manufacturer promotes the LUMINUS Diamond PRO Ceramic Elastomer Coating with self-healing effects, which – at least with very fine scratches – can indeed show a filling effect. In practice, however, this effect is most evident when the coating is used in conjunction with a PPF protective film. Through this synergy, the coating can last for many years on the film surface. The unique formula forms a resilient protective layer over the paint, offering long-lasting protection against UV rays, dirt, water, and chemical influences. As a modern Anti-Pollution Coating, this product actively suppresses re-soiling due to its extremely hydrophobic and dirt-repellent properties. At the same time, the high smoothness of the surface ensures that the vehicle is easier to clean and stays clean longer – ideal for car enthusiasts and professional detailers who demand maximum performance. In an open and exceptionally friendly atmosphere, we were handed numerous products for testing – including the first version of the spray sealant SP Spray 1.0. After application, we found that the hydrophobic properties initially did not develop as expected. Our feedback was taken seriously and Luminus informed us that full curing could take up to five days – a detail that fundamentally changed our assessment. The revised Version 2.0 cures significantly faster and has since been regularly used in our demanding tests. In all tests, LUMINUS Graphene SP Spray V2.0 demonstrated outstanding durability – even against aggressive cleaners. The achieved surface smoothness and the pronounced dirt and water repellency resemble more a high-quality ceramic coating than a conventional spray sealant. Despite a price of around 50 euros for 200 ml, the product proves to be economical, as it is extremely efficient. When applied as recommended with a dispenser and applicator, even a small amount is sufficient for complete vehicle sealing. In combination with regular hand washing, a durability of up to one year can be achieved – a clear advantage over many conventional products. The delivery includes two spray heads and one dispenser. The oily consistency allows application on multiple vehicle areas simultaneously. After an air-drying time of 5 to 10 minutes, the surface is polished with a microfiber cloth, followed by a second, pressure-free polishing process after another five minutes for a perfect high-gloss finish. After application, the vehicle should rest for at least 12 hours in a garage or protected environment to allow the sealant to fully cure. A chemical wash should be avoided in the first seven days to ensure the product's full performance.
