Another key technology provided by Lake Country is CCS, which stands for Collapsed Cell Structure. The surface of CCS is equipped with small pockets that feature a closed cell structure inside, despite the foam being open-pored. This characteristic allows for more efficient polish usage with CCS pads. The polish penetrates into the pocket but not into the pad itself, allowing for substantially longer working times. At the same time, the cell structure is better cooled, preventing the pad from drying out due to the polish. With the new SDO CCS pads, both technologies are available in one pad series. The US manufacturer surprises the market by keeping the production costs at the same level as "ordinary" SDO pads.
