Application and Properties of the Tesla Touch-Up Paint Set

The touch-up paint set is specifically designed for the precise repair of paint damage on Tesla vehicles. The high-quality NEXA Color paints in OEM quality enable a perfect reproduction of the original Tesla paint structure, consisting of base coat, optional lacquer, and subsequent clear coat. Thanks to the numbered bottles, the sequence is clearly defined for an exact paint application just like Tesla. The application should ideally be conducted at 15–25 °C. A color tone check on an inconspicuous area is recommended before use.

Step-by-Step Guide

Prepare the vehicle surface to be dry, clean, and grease-free. Clean with silicone remover if necessary.
Shake the bottles thoroughly before use until the mixing ball inside is audible.
1. Base Coat: Dot the damaged area thinly and apply multiple layers as needed, allowing enough drying time between layers.
2. Lacquer (optional depending on color code): After the base coat is completely dry, apply in the same way. Multiple thin layers are possible.
3. Clear Coat: Apply after the base coat (and lacquer, if applicable) has dried to seal the area and provide gloss. Ensure the base coat dries for at least one hour before applying.
For a perfect result, use the paints solely on properly prepared, clean surfaces.
