Application and Properties of the Tesla Touch-Up Paint Set

The touch-up paint set is specifically designed for precise repairs of paint damage on Tesla vehicles. The high-quality NEXA Color paints in OEM quality allow for an exact reproduction of the original Tesla paint build-up. Depending on the color code, this consists of basecoat, optional glaze, and then clearcoat. Thanks to the numbered bottles, the order is clearly defined, so the paint layering is done exactly as at Tesla. Processing should ideally take place at 15–25 °C. It is advisable to check the color match on an inconspicuous spot before application.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Prepare the vehicle surface dry, clean, and grease-free. Clean with silicone remover if necessary.
Shake the bottles vigorously before use until the mixing ball inside is audible.
1. Basecoat: Dab the damaged area thinly and apply multiple layers as needed. Allow adequate flash-off time between layers.
2. Glaze (optional depending on color code): Apply in the same way after the basecoat has completely dried. Multiple thin layers are possible.
3. Clearcoat: Apply after the basecoat (and possibly glaze) has dried to seal the area and create shine. Allow at least one hour drying time of the basecoat before applying.
For a perfect result, use the paints exclusively on properly prepared, clean surfaces.
