Application and Properties of the Tesla Touch-Up Paint Set

The touch-up paint set is specifically designed for precise repair of paint damage on Tesla vehicles. The high-quality NEXA Color paints in OEM quality allow for an exact replication of the original Tesla paint structure. Depending on the color code, this consists of basecoat, optional glaze, and subsequent clearcoat. Thanks to the numbered bottles, the application sequence is clearly defined, ensuring that the paint layers are applied exactly as specified by Tesla. Ideally, the application should be performed at 15–25 °C. It is recommended to perform a color check on an inconspicuous area before application.

Step-by-Step Guide

Prepare vehicle surface dry, clean, and grease-free. Clean with silicone remover if necessary.
Shake bottles well before use until the mixing ball inside is audible.
1. Basecoat: Dab a thin layer onto the damage and apply multiple layers as needed. Allow sufficient drying time between layers.
2. Glaze (optional based on color code): Apply similarly after the basecoat has fully dried. Multiple thin layers are possible.
3. Clearcoat: Apply after the basecoat (and glaze if applicable) has dried to seal the area and achieve shine. Ensure at least one hour of drying time for the basecoat before application.
For a perfect result, use the paints only on professionally prepared, clean surfaces.
