Application and Features of the Tesla Touch-Up Paint Set

The touch-up paint set is specifically designed for precise repairs of paint damage on Tesla vehicles. The high-quality NEXA Color paints in OEM quality enable an exact replica of the original Tesla paint structure. Depending on the color code, this consists of base coat, optional glaze, and then clear coat. Thanks to the numbered bottles, the sequence is clearly defined, allowing for the paint build-up to be carried out exactly as done by Tesla. Ideally, the application should be done at 15–25 °C. Before use, a color check on an inconspicuous area is recommended.

Step-by-Step Guide

  • Prepare the vehicle surface to be dry, clean, and grease-free. Clean with silicone remover if necessary.
  • Shake the bottles vigorously before use until the mixing ball inside is audible.
  • 1. Base Coat: Dab the damaged area thinly and apply several layers as needed. Allow sufficient drying time between layers.
  • 2. Glaze (optional depending on color code): Apply in the same way after the base coat has completely dried. Multiple thin layers are possible.
  • 3. Clear Coat: Apply after the base coat (and glaze, if applicable) has dried to seal the area and create shine. Maintain at least one hour drying time for the base coat before application.
  • For perfect results, use the paints only on properly prepared, clean surfaces.
