The support pad with a 30mm hook and loop attachment is suitable for the eccentric and rotary applications of the Flex PXE and can be used with compatible polishing pads from Rupes, Flex, Detail Passion, and Lake Country. Compatible polishing pads are also available from Chemical-Shark.de. Differences Between the 30mm, 50mm, and 75mm Support Pads Flex continues to supply the PXE 80 sets with a 30mm support pad and provides 40mm polishing pads, which leads to some instability since these pads do not adhere laterally to the support pad. The 75mm support pad is not approved for use with eccentric inserts due to the high load on the eccentric weight, although many users bypass this with the corresponding safety pin, making its use possible anyway. The new dampened 50mm support pad can be used rotatively and eccentrically, but not with 30 or 40mm polishing pads, as there is a risk of damaging the pad, causing the support pad to touch the paint. Therefore, we strongly recommend using compatible polishing pads for each support pad.
