Why Mask While Polishing?
Anyone working with paint defect corrections through polishing quickly recognizes the need to protect plastics, seals, and gaps. For many enthusiasts, the search for masking tapes often starts at their local hardware store. However, painter's tapes are unsuitable for polishing as they are often rough and not designed for the demands of polishing. From the beginning, we have offered specialized masking tapes for polishing and other automotive care disciplines. Popular masking tapes include the 3M™ Scotch Tape 3434, the HPX 4400 Fine Line, and the newer Elitist Performance Tape.
KAMOI Kabuki-S and Big Boss Masking Tapes from Japan: The Best Choice for Protection While Polishing
In selecting our product range, we rely on the expertise of the best detailers, with whom we maintain good, friendly connections. It was shown to us that while the mentioned masking tapes are good, they still do not reach the level of the "best detailing masking tape." The combination of adhesive strength, polishability - without lifting the edges and transferring adhesive to the polishing pad - and tear resistance remains unmatched. KAMOI Kabuki-S from Japan was presented to us as the benchmark.
Since we already had three manufacturers of masking tape in our program and typically make product decisions through our own testing and evaluation processes, we delved deeply into KAMOI masking tapes. KAMOI tapes have 18 meters per roll and due to their small core size are substantially smaller than other masking tapes. This is a considerable advantage when working indoors or masking small areas like emblems and logos. The strength combined with flexibility is impressive; the Kabuki-S tape is almost rubbery and very easy to navigate around curves and corners. In tests with flour and activated charcoal - you read that right - we found no significant adhesive residues upon removal with either the Kabuki-S or the slightly cheaper Big Boss. In summary, we can confirm: KAMOI masking tapes are the gold standard!
From Japan? It must be expensive!
As an official partner of KAMOI, we import the tapes directly from Japan and sell them in their original sealed packaging with up to 20 rolls. With the DETAILER Set, we offer all available sizes in a sampler set. Based on the price per meter, we are aligned with other masking tapes. The slightly more affordable KAMOI Big Boss offers a second color in pink. The Big Boss features slightly stronger adhesive performance and less flexibility. KAMOI Kabuki-S and Big Boss are approved for paint drying at 100 degrees Celsius for up to 30 minutes, which is why they are the most popular tapes among paint shops in Japan.

3D One Hybrid is a revolutionary polish from the US manufacturer 3D Products. With 3D One Hybrid, paint defect corrections can be achieved with a perfect finish in significantly less time. 3D One Hybrid is suitable for multiple polishing steps and can be used as a universal polish with various polishing pads and application methods. 3D One offers an extended working time, doesn’t create dust, and is easy to remove from the paint. The Perfect Polish for Professionals and Enthusiasts: 3D One Hybrid For professionals, it is crucial that the consumption of a polish is as low as possible while allowing for a variety of processing steps. 3D One Hybrid can be used with all types of polishing pads - foam pads, microfiber pads, lambswool pads, wool pads. Car care enthusiasts will appreciate that 3D One Hybrid is low-odor and can be applied for extended periods. For simple hand polishing, 3D One Hybrid can even be used in direct sunlight. 3D One Hybrid is free of fillers and can be completely removed even with gentle degreasers. 3D One Hybrid is ideal for subsequent sealants using silicones, polymers, or high-quality waxes. Universally Applicable: Rotary, Eccentric, Forced Eccentric 3D One Hybrid is designed for use with modern high-performance polishing machines and can be processed rotary, eccentric, and forced eccentric. On aggressive polishing pads, 3D One Hybrid delivers considerable material removal, while the long working time allows for a perfect mirror finish with finer pads. The tendency to create holograms during rotary processing has been nearly eliminated by the unique "Ceramic Alumina Abrasive" formula. Extremely Long Working Time Thanks to Durable Abrasives and High-Quality Carrier Liquid 3D One Hybrid was developed with a deliberately high proportion of carrier liquid and durable abrasives. This combination is, in our opinion, unique worldwide. Thanks to this formulation, 3D One Hybrid can be perfectly controlled over polishing type and pad, making it excellent for medium cut to high gloss finishing. For higher material removal, we recommend switching from a random orbital polisher to a rotary polisher or using a classic heavy cut polish eccentrically or forced eccentrically. Additionally, 3D One Hybrid serves as a problem solver for sensitive paints and "sticky paints". To provide an affordable entry point, we offer 3D One Hybrid in various sizes and a sample pack.

Grippaz nitrile gloves are powder-free, silicone-free, and latex-free. They feature extreme durability and are tear-resistant up to 500% stretch. The patented fish skin design provides an anti-sweat effect and unprecedented comfort for hours. After extensive testing, we consider Grippaz the best protective glove for car care and detailing. The Perfect Detailing Glove: Grippaz Nitrile Powder-Free, Latex-Free, Antistatic Since mid-2022, it was evident that nitrile gloves would be available at "normal" prices again, prompting extensive testing. The focus was on durability, chemical resistance, anti-sweat effect, and pleasant tactile feel. The "Black Mamba" gloves from the pre-Corona era were memorable but failed to match the same quality in current batches. By chance, we discovered Grippaz abroad, which not only have an interesting look but also impress with their first skin contact: they fit snugly, are highly stretchable, can be worn even on slightly sweaty hands, and have a cooling effect. The Grippaz are touchscreen compatible and yet antistatic. Being extremely sturdy, Grippaz can also be used multiple times, making them more economical than thin-skinned counterparts. Most notably, the Grippaz enhance tactile feel and grip security, crucial for high-quality detailing tasks like paint, leather, and wood, making users feel safer.
