With the 4400 Fine Line masking tape, Belgian manufacturer HPX leads the market for high-quality masking tapes. The "Masking Tapes" are ideal for before-and-after comparisons of detailing work on automotive paint, plastic, and metal due to their sharp edge separation. The tape is only 0.09 mm thick, UV resistant, and officially heat resistant up to 100 degrees Celsius. Temporary exposure to 150 degrees has shown no deterioration in performance during tests at our Chemical-Shark.de detailing studio. The tape can be removed residue-free within 4 months after application. Overall, our testing shows that the Masking Tape 4400 has comparable and sometimes better properties than the blue 3M masking tape, known as type 3434. The HPX Masking Tape 4400 Fine Line, also known as HPX Professional, is produced in Europe (Belgium) using Japanese paper and an acrylic adhesive layer. With a tensile strength of 75 Newtons in the 2mm version, it is extremely tear-resistant.
